Successfully graduating from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business in 2021 I earned my Bachelor of Commerce Degree concentrated in Finance. During my academic journey at Haskayne school of business I was instructed on the strategy and methodologies of managerial decision making and ethical leadership. In addition to being instructed on how to make informative and conscious decisions from within an organization heavy influence was always place on analyzing the greater impact decisions have on all stakeholders. As a student we were asked to think critically for ourselves, and guided on the importance of collaboration and teamwork to organizational innovation. My final 2 years at the University of Calgary were instructed online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, however, I persevered through tough times was able to adapt to continue thriving, networking with other students, building relationships and seeking the most out of my academic studies.
The Bachelor of Commerce Degree I received provided exposure to a broad array of business subsections which including but are not limited to Introductory Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Management, and Entrepreneurship and subsequently required Calculus and Introductory Micro and Macro Economics. In addition to the required commerce courses I completed additional economics courses to satisfy my electoral options. Such courses included Intermediate Economic Theory in the Microenvironment (ECON301), Petroleum Economics (ECON327), North American Oil Industry (ECON325), Intro to Energy and Environment (ENEE355). New Venture Startup (ENTI405)
Completion of a Concentration in Finance I was required to take additional subsequent Finance courses to distinguish an understanding in Business Finance. I was successful in completing Corporate Finance (FNCE451), New Venture Finance (FNCE473), Mergers and Acquisitions (FNCE465), Security Analysis and Investment (FNCE443), Futures and Options (FNCE445), Portfolio Theory and Management (FNCE463).
